Stranger than Fiction-National Stiletto Championship

I've only been in Paris for 2 years so I'm still learning my way around but will be giving these french girls a run for the money next year in the National Stiletto Race which took place here on Friday.
The only rule was to wear stilettos (3 inch heels) in this three part relay and the prize of course shoes (3,000) worth to be exact.

Any contributions should be mailed to "moi".
I'll be saving my euros for a new pair of Manolos and a great race ensemble.

How to Steal a Million-AUDREY HEPBURN and GIVENCHY

One of the most exciting auctions of the decade!
I'll be writing more about the expo in Paris and auction in London soon!

Above are just 2 of the historic pieces that will be part of the Audrey Hepburn and Givenchy lots.

A Givenchy domed jade green velvet hat, 1964, labelled and numbered 27305, the nine pom-pom streamers laced with crystal beads, 23cm, 9in tall; together with a photograph of Audrey wearing the hat, (2) Audrey was photographed by Cecil Beaton, US Vogue Aug 15, 1964 p.119. `little Oriental evening fantasies like this - bright jade green velvet with tassels of cut feathers, crystal beads (Miss Hepburn is mad about this one, plans to wear it often for late day and small dinners)'

The Givenchy haute couture black chantilly lace cocktail dress, worn in `How to Steal a Million', Audrey wears this ensemble in the Ritz bar scene of the film, where her character dons a matching lace face mask over glittery eye-makeup in order to disguise herself. Her attempt not to draw attention to herself in this stunning creation spectacularly failed! Hubert de Givenchy created a similar, though not identical, cocktail gown as part of the haute couture collection, Autumn-Winter 1966, model 432.

My Big Mistake...Mondrian YSL inspired

I'm back from London. I attended Kerry Taylor's auction on October 27. As the lots whizzed by I recognized a Simpson of Picadilly YSL inspired Mondrian dress circa 1965. The auction estimate was £150-250. I thought to myself "small world" I had seen that dress a few months ago and thought that it was pretty but the price was somewhere near £200 so I didn't buy it. Big mistake- the dress sold for a hammer price of £3,300!
